Yesterday evening on the Lou Dobbs show an update was aired
about the 2 Border patrol agents that were convicted in a kangaroo court for
violating a drug dealers civil rights. It didn’t matter that this slimeball had
a van full of drugs, it didn’t matter that he fought with the agent trying to
escape prosecution, and it didn’t matter that he fled back across the border as
many of the illegal alien criminals do to escape capture and prosecution. These
poor civil servants didn’t have the suspiciously large bank accounts or the
ostentatious homes that are often the dead give away of someone on the take.
They were convicted of doing their job. The slime ball took a round in the butt
and because the agents aim wasn’t a foot higher to where a vital organ could
have been hit, he and his partner are charged with a violation of this scum’s
civil rights. The zealous prosecution by a federal prosecutor, one whose
appearance could scare the ugly off an ape, ignored the precedence that at best
this was an administrative violation of the rules governing the agents’ actions
that also at best warranted internal disciplinary action for failure to comply.
To the Dobbs Show’s credit these poor agents’ story would
have been another casualty of apathy and anonymity buried on the back pages of
the newspapers had it not been for the publicity and attention of his show.
Their efforts have informed many congressmen that are appalled at the treatment
of these individuals. One being Congressman Dana Rohrabacher from California.
The Dobbs show last night informed us that during a rally, Congressman
Rohrabacher's office received a lengthy response from the White House:
“Among its claims, the White House says, while the sentence may -- the
sentences of the two agents may seem harsh, the agents, in the White House's
view, used excessive force. And the White House says they received a fair trial.”
This same day the President passed out 16 pardon and in
these pardons is a man convicted of dealing
methamphetamine and another who, along with his family, donated to the
Republican National Committee and the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign.
Multiple agents caught in blatant corruption scandals have been reassigned or slapped
on the wrist in comparison to the penalty assessed these Agents.
It is hard not to imagine that these
poor agents are being served up to placate some Mexican Official as an appeasement
for some private issue between them and the Bush administration. Former and
present agents talk about the Mexican government being apprised of where
civilian patrols are located so their citizens can escape capture illegally
crossing our borders and yet this for some insane reason is justified by the
management of the Border patrol.
I’d love to see Bush tried by a jury
of his peers for, illegal wiretaps, serving up a CIA agent because her husband disagreed
publicly with his administration, failure to honor his oath to enforce the laws
of this nation, Ignoring the laws legislated by our congress, and the reason we
needed to wage war against Iraq! Would he then be so flippant as to say it’s a fair
trial.
Merry Christmas to all and I hope the
Agents get their new trial based on the evidence of jury misconduct. It is my
hope that they are exonerated from this blatant miscarriage of justice.
Santa’s watching GW… and I hope he has
a great big Mexican coal suppository for you this year!
