The previous entry I contemplated making something akin to the old Burma Shave signs that kept that kept your interest while traveling to accompany the billboard of shame in my front yard. They have been received as well as the billboard with those that object to them wait until dark to steal and deface them. They go:
It starts with your gardener,
and then with your maid,
cash under the table,
the illegal is paid.
They’re drawn to the jobs
To export the bucks,
While outsourced citizens,
Are just out of luck.
They spawn anchor babies,
At our expense,
Use our laws against us
It doesn’t make sense.
They steal an identity,
Buy Forged documents for fees,
Get jobs from employers
Feigning ignorance with ease.
The police do not ticket,
arrest or refer
For fear of the lawsuits
the city will incur.
Repeat offenders
Are free to get drunk and go drive,
While friends and our loved ones
Get hurt, maimed or die.
So May 12 remember,
if this doesn’t make sense.
Try voting, not for;
But try voting against!
