The pity parties are in full swing in the aftermath of the California
fires. Many articles are chastising the authorities for enforcing immigration
law and lamenting the casualties found in the burnt desert as if this should be
a concern of the citizens of this nation. The attempt to play on our emotions
doesn’t belay the fact that these casualties are the result of being in this
country illegally. Had they entered legally the chances are very high they
wouldn’t have been in the desert in the first place!
Call it survival of the fittest or natural consequences
befitting stupid actions the only argument that I’ll concede is the absence of
a wall delimiting our nations with the inscription engraved every 10 ft.,
“enter legally or stay the hell out.” Not that this is really necessary because
if there wasn’t consequences associated entering our borders illegally then
there would be no need for the coyote guides and no need to travel in the
harshest of terrains to avoid detection.
California
fires affirm the argument that even Mother Nature doesn’t like illegal
immigrants. Maybe we should take a lesson from Al Gore’s eco-friendly friends
and develop some Arkansas
entertainment that is solar powered for a GREEN border deterrent. The solar
panels could charge batteries that charge large capacitors connected to a grid
the illegal aliens would have to cross. This should satisfy the liberal left because it is
Energy Star compliant! Just as lightning bugs the brief brilliant flashes would accentuate the night. The Border Patrol could redefine
the characters snap, crackle and pop as electrified Frito Banditos in an advertising commercial to recruit
more Border Patrol Agents. It would beat the NASCAR advertisement and get many more beer drinking Bubbas to apply!
Some might find the preceding distasteful and extreme but it
is no more distasteful that giving illegal aliens driver’s licenses, social
security, DREAM act or lamenting about catching the illegal alien thieving scum
stealing relief supplies from those bivouacked stadium evacuees. In every one
of these diatribes conveniently missing is the fact that the individuals are
not entitled to any consideration because they are illegal. Left to fester long
enough somewhere in the future the preceding may become reality if this token
attempt at enforcement isn’t escalated to solve this problem. This will be
especially true if another terrorist attack is imported through our porous
borders!
